Sister Therese Carolan

Sister Therese Carolan

Born: Drogheda Ireland 07/06/1943

Family: I lived in the country and had six siblings.

Entered: Entered 10/07/1959. Professed 04/21/1961.

Call: My first recollection of hearing the call was at fifteen years of age when I was still in school. I got to know the Poor Clares in Stamullen and I became interested in their work with children.
Assignments:
  • Stamullen - Nursing
  • Mayobridge - Teaching
  • Luton - Teaching
  • Coalisland - Pastoral Ministry
  • Palm Harbor - Pastoral Ministry

I always enjoyed my assignments. At times they were challenging.

I have always felt content and secure in my vocation; in the past I did experience some difficult times, but generally my life has been very happy.

My personal vision for our congregation after my time: An increase in vocations and that they continue to live out the charism of Clare in whatever form they may take to do so.
